The Association “RUSSIAN DOMOSTROY” holds a round table on the topic “Russian folk clothes: yesterday, today and tomorrow”
Russian folk costume as one of the elements of Russian national identity in the past, today and in the future. Is it possible in the modern cosmopolitan world to remain committed to the costume and its individual elements, which for centuries have shaped the national uniqueness of Russians as an ethnic group? The participants in the round table held by the Russian Domostroy Association (ARD) will seek answers to these and a number of other questions.

The round table will bring together representatives of member companies of the Association, public organizations, the expert community and the media.
As Nikolai Evsenkin, executive director of the Association, told ARD-TV, “In the life of our ancestors, Russian folk costume was one of the main carriers of the national identity of Russians as a nation. Today it is very rare to see modern Russians in their holiday and everyday clothes at least elements of Russian folk costume. We want to dedicate the planned round table to the study of this issue and find realistic proposals for changing the situation.”
The Russian Domostroy Association of Manufacturers and Sellers of Russian Folk Wares and National Clothing was established in May 2019. The Association is a non-profit organization and unites on a voluntary basis more than thirty enterprises and organizations located in several regions of Russia specializing in the production and trade of Russian goods. national life and national clothes.
